Reading with care
A review should distinguish description from judgment and show the text or detail that supports a reading. We do not assign verdicts to books we have not examined. When an entry is a publishing guide rather than a close reading of a particular work, it is labeled accordingly.
We do not sell favorable reviews or let a submission determine the verdict. Any future review should disclose review copies, commercial arrangements, and other material connections. Corrections can change facts; they do not buy approval.
How these pages are made
Chapter Ledger began in September 2026 with AI-assisted research, drafting, editing, and site production. Historical dates identify the work or event being discussed; they are not publication dates for these articles. Source descriptions, editorial interpretation, and proposed exercises are identified in the articles. These pages do not report original interviews or hands-on product tests.
We link to the material behind factual claims, preserve source dates, and treat company accounts as company accounts. Each feature is reviewed for its evidence, language, and relevance before release. Material corrections should explain what changed.
